A Wonderful Story

My husband, Phil, loved his mother with a fierceness that I find so wonderful and charming. He's got so many wonderful stories about his mother. She was raised on a farm in Maine and only spoke French until she was 18 or so. He thought he knew everything about his mom....as it turns out there were a few things that he didn't know.

Both of us are on Facebook and we play our little games and talk with friends. Sometimes we instant message each other while sitting next to each other on the sofa...silly isn't it? Well, I am here to tell you that good things can happen on Facebook. A few months ago my hubby got a message on his Facebook from a woman who said she had a friend that may be related to him. The remainder of the evening was an emotional roller coaster for him. He discovered that he has a sister!!! It turns out that his mother had given birth to a daughter when she was in her early twenties and given her up for adoption. Phone calls were made, texts and e-mails were sent, and if the information that my husband received from his uncle in Maine weren't confirmation enough, when he saw a photo of his sister and I heard his quick intake of breath I knew that they had found one another.
